There’s a lot of buzz around this fall’s New York Fashion Week. The anticipation for Sundance’s four-part series, The Day Before, may be overshadowed by the excitement of spotting Anna Wintour in Queens, New York.

Fashion’s Night Out is a one-night event that will feature over 700 retailers and designers from the five boroughs of New York City. The NYC event (sponsored by Vogue), will also be simultaneously taking place in 12 other countries: the U.K., Italy, Brazil, China, India, Japan, and France, all in an effort to support the fashion industry during these hard economic times.

What can we expect in New York come September 10? So far, the night includes: André Leon Talley hosting a live game show version of Fashion Rules (with Donna Karan and Robert Verdi as team leaders), Mary-Kate and Ashley bartending, Hamish Bowles and Oscar de la Renta singing (just brace yourselves for open mike by other fashion insiders), and the cherry on top? Anna Wintour and her group of celebrity and designer friends signing 50 (only 50) t-shirts at the Macy’s in Queens.

Our only request is not to ask Hamish Bowles to sing “Good Vibrations,” but that Anna autographs t-shirts saying, “This type seems so large… [It] looks like it’s for blind people.” http://fashionsnightout.com/
