In There Like a Dirty Shirt

Aurel Shmidt Opening Ceremony Drawing
Forget using a Tide To Go, these strategic stains are the permanent handiwork of artist Aurel Schmidt (who we interviewed way back in The Block Issue 16). Celebrating Schmidt’s participation at the 2010 Whitney Biennial, Opening Ceremony has taken Schmidt’s designs and printed them onto custom destroyed unisex tees: a series of 11 letters spelling the words Opening Ceremony.

From rolled up dollar bills, to bacon swimming in grease, to a bitten chocolate glazed rainbow sprinkle doughnut, these shirts are wearable canvases of Schmidt’s lovely, filthy art.

Though we’d love all 26 letters, these 11 tees will suffice. And hey, we can always mix up the letters if we get bored. Gimpy neon encore, anyone?
